Beyond the first trees, the familiar world begins to soften.

Moonlight moves across Clearwater Pond. A lantern glows among the trees. Music drifts through the forest, and violet mist gathers silently along a hidden path.

The residents of Aetherwood are already here.

Each carries a personality, a history, and an individual journey that will eventually lead toward the Festival of Unity. Where you begin is entirely up to you.

Every resident begins by hand in clay. As the sculpture takes form, the character’s personality and story emerge with it. The sculpture and the story grow together.

Each finished sculpture is reproduced in high-resolution resin as a numbered collectible, limited to only 200 of each character. Every sculpture includes a personality character sheet and a numbered Limited-Edition Certificate of Authenticity.

Aetherwood: The Festival of Unity

Karen’s current passion project:

Aetherwood: The Festival of Unity is a rich narrative experience told through sculpture. This fantastical realm is home to multiple enchanting characters, each hand-sculpted and brought to life with vibrant detail and personality.

So far, six characters have emerged from the studio and into the world:

  • Yomei, the reflective mandarin drake, who inspires gratitude and serenity

  • Noravana, the tiny dancer who expresses truth through movement

  • Patty, the lantern-bearing fairy of gentle wisdom and mischief

  • Aloysius (Teddy), the owl sage, whose quiet insights shape harmony

  • Anoc Glas, a charismatic theatrical magician from a mystical realm

  • Nox moves through the forest with an unusual stillness, appearing without warning and disappearing just as quietly.

Each sculpture is part of a limited edition of 200, accompanied by a story card and sold through theSmiling Beagle store.

Each character has their own backstory, which you can read by visiting the AETHERWOOD interactive map on a computer or laptop. On a phone, the images will appear below the map.

The Festival of Unity story will appear later this year after all characters have been seen in their completed 3D-printed version.
